Omg I’m gonna cry. I have an upcoming perm scheduled because I wanted to dip dye my hair and I can’t do it natural so I needed extensions…and I can’t have extensions natural. Oh man, your video makes me wanna call off the whole thing and stay true, that thing you said about the curl pattern rally got me.

Curl pattern is what stops alot of us from rocking our natural texture. It was really empowering once I accepted my hair texture. I always wanted 3C texture but now I love my texture because of the things I can do with it and even envy those with a thicker hair texture than mine. ๐Ÿ™‚

My decision to go natural was such a good one, I was looking at pictures and my hair looks so lifeless and thin. Braiding up and twisting out really gives my hair new life!I don’t have time to do it every day, but I’m going to make the time.

Thanks for sharing! I big chopped after three months of transitioning and that was about five months ago. So this is very inspiring because I’m at the point where I definitely don’t know what to do with my hair but throw a headband on it like you mentioned but I have realized that it is getting harder to maintain, than when I first big chopped, so I will enjoy my little fro for now. lol

p.s: you don’t have a big forehead [in my opinion] ๐Ÿ™‚

When I was rocking my TWA it was the best. Every now and then I think about picking up the scissors and big chopping again. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great video! I have been natural for 2 years now but I never did the big chop. I did chop off about 3-4 inches of my hair the beginning of this year and it has grown like crazy. I am thinking about chopping of it again because like you said.. it is soooo time consuming! Deep down inside though.. I want crazy long curly hair so I think I am just going to put up with it. Have you ever tried lush products?

Jade September 30, 2011 at 11:42 am

Thanks! I do still dream of a huge curly fro but the scissors call my name sometimes. Lol. I haven’t tried any LUSH products of yet but would love too. Maybe one day when they have a sale. Cause their prices are $$$. ๐Ÿ™‚

Jade… GREAT video!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! VERY encouraging – your hair is SOOOOO gorgeous!!! Quick question… where did you get your egyptian gold earrings (I know… probably not the most appropriate description – lol). The earrings you wore in the pic with the GQ magazine. They are TO DIE FOR!!!!
